On September, 25 1995 Belarussian State Concern for Oil and Oil products (Belnefteproduct) jointly with Mozyr Oil Refinery JSC, Novopolotsk enterprise for crude oil transportation (Druzhba) and petroleum products supply, Brest and Kobrin enterprise for petroleum products supply during the Minor Council session decided to establish Belarussian Petroleum Trading House CJSC.
The main business purpose of the company was to join financial resources of the above mentioned enterprises in order to organize effective domestic economy supply with crude oil and petroleum products. The main direction for Belarussian Petroleum Trading House activity should have become the realization of The Agreement between The Belarussian and The Russian Federation governments dated September, 1 1994 regarding delivery of crude oil to Belarus from Russia in exchange for Belarusian manufacturers’ production not attracting additional public funds.
According to The Council of Ministers Decree ¹ 5p dated January, 4 1996 Belnefteproduct Concern became the founder of the company. On April, 19 1996 Belarussian Petroleum Trading House was legally registered. On June, 30 1998 under Belneftekhim Concern decree ¹ 188 for its further economic development, business activity improvement and fulfillment of the Belarussian Petroleum Trading House CJSC shareholders' meeting resolution Belarussian Petroleum Trading House JSC was decided to reorganize into State Affiliated Enterprise Belarussian Petroleum Trading House of Belneftekhim Concern.
Commission business was outlined as the main company’s mission to maintain Belneftekhim Concern appropriate commercial and other activities. On July, 20 2000 State Affiliated Enterprise Belarussian Petroleum Trading House of Belneftekhim Concern was reorganized in to the Republican Affiliated Unitary Enterprise Belarussian Petroleum Trading House and had been operating in this legal form until now.
